Born and raised in Alexandria, KY, Richard W. Carr, P.E. is very familiar with the local conditions in Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio. Rick is a third generation Civil Engineer. His father, Dick Carr, had him out carrying stakes on farm surveys before he could see “over the weeds.” Rick’s Grandpa, Jack Carr (shown at right), started the construction of US-27 in Alexandria in 1945. Many years later, Rick became an engineer and began his own Civil Engineering firm, operating as Richard W. Carr, P.E. Civil Engineering & Golf Course Design.
Rick’s nephew Benjamin R. Mason, P.E. began working for Rick’s civil engineering firm in high school. This experience was so formative that Benjamin went on to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Benjamin R. Mason, P.E. spent over 10 years leading multi-million dollar construction projects in both the private and public sectors while working for a nationally ranked, commercial construction company.
